1. The Mob Violence Survival Story

A group of people attacked this gentle bull just because it was eating food in their compound. The bull was left with a massive, life-threatening shoulder wound. Capturing the frightened and injured bull was hard, but our team managed to get it to safety. With the help of veterinarians, we gave the bull intensive, months-long care. The large scar it has now is a symbol of how strong the bull is. It shows that kind and patient treatment can truly make a difference. The gentle giant is now safe, loved, and thriving—a true symbol of hope.

2. Road Accident Survival and Recovery

A car hit this poor cow, crushing its back leg and causing a serious fracture. The scene was full of blood. We gave her initial dressing and brought her to our shelter. There, with help from a vet, we put a plaster cast on the leg. It took a full month, but her bones are healed. Now, she is walking and moving happily.

3. Healing from a Cruel Oil Burn

In a heart breaking act of cruelty, someone threw hot oil on this innocent cow, leaving her with severe skin injuries and burns. We quickly rescued her and started a strict treatment plan. Through regular dressing of her wounds and dedicated care with vet-prescribed medicines, we are helping ease her pain. She is now safe at our shelter, slowly healing and learning to trust humans again.

4. Prolapsed Uterus and Recovery

This poor cow was suffering from a massive, painful tumor that made her daily life unbearable. Our team quickly stepped in and brought her to skilled veterinarians. We worked closely with the doctors, assisting them during a complex surgery to safely treat the prolapsed uterus. Thanks to a successful operation and careful post-surgery treatment, she has made a wonderful recovery and is finally living a healthy, pain-free life.

5. Surviving a Farmer's Attack

This bull was the victim of a brutal attack by a farmer simply for eating crops in a field. A sharp metal object was deliberately pierced deep into his body, causing terrible pain and a severe wound. We rushed to rescue him and immediately started his treatment. Following a veterinarian’s advice, our team carefully dressed the deep injury and gave him the right medicines. Over time, the wound has healed completely, and this strong bull is now safe and recovering well.

6. Highway Rescue and Spinal Recovery

A terrible truck accident on the highway left this poor cow with a broken spine, completely unable to stand. We rushed her to our shelter to begin immediate, specialized care. She is currently undergoing extensive backbone treatment using a supportive hanging machine. This special sling safely takes the weight off her fragile spine, allowing her bones to heal properly while keeping her comfortable. It will be a long and challenging journey, but our team is dedicated to helping her stand on her own four legs once again.

7. A Brave Fight Against Reckless Driving

In a devastating case of drunk driving, a pickup truck ran over all four legs of this innocent calf. The baby was critically injured and in immense pain. Under the close supervision of professionals, our team fitted the calf with a specialized “Thomas splint” to help its badly fractured joints heal. For 15 days, this brave little one showed a miraculous will to recover and fought so hard to stand again. Tragically, despite our round-the-clock care, the severe trauma was simply too much, and the calf ultimately passed away. While this loss breaks our hearts, we share this story to honor its memory and to remind everyone of the fatal cost of human recklessness.

8. The 365 Days Food & Water Drive

Every single day of the year, our team is on the ground ensuring that no stray animal goes hungry. Through our continuous feeding drive, we provide daily meals to all kinds of animals—from the bovine family and street dogs to cats, monkeys, birds, and other voiceless souls. Recognizing the severe, scorching summers of Odisha, we have also taken up the mission of installing water pots across the community. Alongside providing this immediate relief, we actively run campaigns to raise awareness, encouraging citizens to step forward and serve life-saving water to animals in need.

9. Radium Band Drive for Night Safety

Nighttime road accidents are a constant and tragic threat to stray animals. To protect them from speeding vehicles in the dark, our team launched a dedicated Radium Band Drive. Our volunteers hit the streets to gently secure reflective radium collars around the necks of street dogs, cows, and other stray animals. These glowing bands catch the headlights of approaching vehicles, making the animals highly visible to drivers from a safe distance. This simple yet life-saving initiative not only prevents fatal accidents but also ensures safer roads for both our voiceless friends and nighttime commuters.

10. Comprehensive Community Welfare Drives

Beyond our dedication to animal rescue, the Kalinga Yuva Sena Trust is deeply committed to serving the people and protecting our environment. We have organized holistic community service initiatives to bring essential care directly to those in need. By partnering with local eye hospitals, we have provided free eye testing and expert medical consultations for underprivileged citizens. To help save lives during medical emergencies, our dedicated volunteers actively organize and participate in blood donation camps.
